The digital resources in a library collection-- how they are selected and maintained, how they are promoted and taught-- directly impact students' achievement of the Information Literacy Standards and to the Standards for the 21st Century Learner. Embedding the best materials throughout the curriculum to meet the students' individual learning tasks and goals will allow them to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of Information Literacy, Independent Learning and Social Responsibility.

The children of today are being called "net-gen" for good reason.
